The Teen Corner is a winner!

The Randolph County Public Library’s Teen Corner project has been named one of the top 25 teen-oriented library programs in the country.

The library received one of 25 Excellence in Library Service to Young Adults awards from the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association. The award recognizes exemplary teen programs and services in libraries throughout the United States.

Five top award winners each will receive $1,000 cash prizes, while 20 “Best of the Rest” winners each will receive $250 cash prizes. All honorees will be included in Excellence in Library Service to Young Adults, 5th Ed. to be published in summer 2008.

The “Teen Corner” project was among the “Best of the Rest” winners.
