College success can be enhanced with a little planning and thinking before heading off to a new life as an underclassman.
To help high college-bound students prepare for this major step, Cooperative Extension of Randolph County will present "College 101...Strategies for 1st Year Success” at 6 p.m. Monday, April 24 at the Archdale Public Library, and 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Asheboro Public Library.
There’s a cost of $3 per student, with parents and guardians admitted free. To register, contact Cooperative Extension Director Carol Langley at 318-6000; the Archdale library at 431-3811; or the Asheboro library at 318-6801. Refreshments will be served.
Topics covered will include time management, the social scene, credit card lies, safety on campus, choosing classes, note-taking, study tips, test-taking strategies, roommate possibilities and more.
Come to College 101 and get your brain thinking about how to navigate your first year successfully.
